Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. The Employees’ Compensation Commission Regional Extension Unit 4B (ECC-REU 4B) office in MIMAROPA conducted a livelihood training designed to empower persons with work-related disabilities (PWRDs) on February 27, 2024 in Calapan City. This initiative represents a significant stride towards fostering inclusivity and economic empowerment for survivors of work-related contingencies.
The program aims to equip PWRDs with essential skills and knowledge vital for thriving in various livelihood opportunities.
ECC Regional Extension Unit 4B, in collaboration with local organizations joined forces to ensure that the program meets the unique needs and aspirations of PWRDs. Through tailored resources and personalized guidance, this seeks to dismantle barriers and empower individuals to pursue sustainable livelihoods.

By investing in the potential and talents of PWRDs, we enrich lives and contribute to the overall prosperity and diversity of society,” said ECC Executive Director Kaima Via B. Velasquez
Director Velasquez added that, “It is our firm belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society. Through this initiative, we provide PWRDs with the tools and support they need to succeed in the workforce or be an active member of our society.”
