Mall goers now have an opportunity to learn about the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP), as information materials about the program are now available at the customer service counters and at the Lingkod-Pinoy Centers of Robinson Malls nationwide.
The initiative is part of the Employees’ Compensation Commission’s (ECC) massive information dissemination campaign on the ECP.
“We are thankful to the management of Robinson’s Malls for being a part of our efforts to increase the public’s awareness on the ECP. As we all know, a lot of people frequent the malls every day, serving as a perfect venue for information campaign,” ECC Executive Director Stella Zipagan-Banawis said.
She added that the ECC is aggressively reaching out to more Filipino workers and their families to inform them about the ECP.
“We have been promoting the ECP through traditional media, out-of-home advertising, and through online channels. We want the information about the ECP easily accessible and available to the public that is why we are pursuing these activities,” Banawis further said.
The ECP is a social insurance program which provides benefits and services to workers and/or their beneficiaries who met work-connected diseases, injury, or death.
The ECP information materials available at the Robinson’s Malls are free of charge. It provides facts about the program such as the benefits and its services, the procedures in filing for EC benefits claims, and the list of occupational and work-related diseases which are compensable under the program.
The said information materials are also available online at the website of the ECC at www.ecc.gov.ph and selected government offices, hospitals, and commercial establishments around the country.
