The Employees’ Compensation Commission’s (ECC) radio program entitled “#ECCWorkRelated†is named one of the finalists for the 46th Catholic Mass Media Award or CMMA.
“#ECCWorkRelated†earned its first nomination under the ‘Public Service Program’ category of the CMMA and is vying with other five nominees. The program has started airing in 2018 with then Executive Director Stella Zipagan-Banawis sitting as a co-anchor and continues to air with Executive Director Atty. Kaima Via B. Velasquez as co-anchor to date.
Atty. Velasquez said, “Thanks to the CMMA. We are ecstatic to learn of our first nomination. This motivates the whole team to do more for the benefit of our workers.  And this also serves as a testament to ECC’s dedication to reach more workers on the outskirts and inform them of their entitlement under the ECP, through the radio as a medium of communication.â€
“#ECCWorkRelated†focuses on disseminating information on the Employees’ Compensation Program that provides benefits and services to workers in the event of work-related contingencies such as sickness, injury or its resulting disability or death.
The CMMA is a religious organization that recognizes individuals and entities devoted to championing the mission of serving God by crafting media contents that embody the highest human values.
The CMMA has yet to announce the official winners and the awarding details.
