To ensure at all times that workers are informed of their rights, benefits and privileges under the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP), the Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) will conduct its first ECP Advocacy Seminar in Boac, Marinduque, on 24 April 2019 at the Balar Hotel & Spa.
More than 100 participants, composed mostly of employers, human resource officers and company representatives of various private establishments and government agencies, including members of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) from different precincts in Marinduque, are expected to attend this one-day free of charge seminar, which is on a first-come, first-served basis. The seminar is in close coordination with the Department of Labor & Employment , Boac, Marinduque Field Office.
Topics to be discussed are the three components of the ECP such as the prevention, compensation and rehabilitation services and the recent EC Program reforms anchored on the “3Es”- Equalize, Enhance and Expand strategies, in response to the challenges facing the EC Program. It will also include the discussion of Executive Order 54 signed by President Rodrigo R. Duterte which increased EC benefits of Persons with Work-related Disabilities.
The Employees’ Compensation Program provides a package of benefits and services to workers who suffer from work-connected sickness or injury which resulted to disability or death.
