The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) is bringing back its free ECP advocacy seminar for at least 200 barangay officials and students and teaching personnel from Technological and Vocational Institutions (TVIs) in the province of Pampanga to ensure that workers and the general public are informed of their rights, benefits, and privileges under the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP).

The event, which will be held on March 8, 2023 at the Bendix Hotel in San Fernando City, Pampanga, is part of the ECC’s month-long anniversary celebration.

According to ECC OIC Executive Director Engr. Jose Maria S. Batino, the advocacy seminar with barangay officials and TVI representatives as participants is the first of its kind in an effort to raise awareness about the ECP and in preparation for TVI students as they enter the country’s workforce.

The three components of the ECP, such as prevention, compensation, and rehabilitation services, as well as recent EC Program reforms, will be discussed by representatives from the ECC and the Occupational Safety and Health Center.

The seminar particularly the open forum is expected to result in the exchange of ideas that will improve the implementation and awareness campaigns of ECC at the barangay and school level.

For more information, interested barangay officials and TVIs may contact our Regional Extension Unit 3 at [email protected].

The Employees’ Compensation Program provides a package of benefits and services to workers who suffer from work-connected sickness or injury which resulted to disability or death.
