The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) will be holding an Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP) Advocacy Seminar on September 24, 2019 at the Villa Isabel Hotel, Sorsogon City, Sorsogon in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 9.

The seminar, which is free of charge aims to intensify awareness of workers on their rights, benefits, and privileges under the ECP.

The ECP is the flagship program of the ECC which aims to assist workers who suffer work-related sickness or injury resulting to disability of death.

More than 150 participants composed mostly of employers, human resource officers and company representatives of various private establishments and government agencies including members of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) from different precincts in Sorsogon are expected to attend the seminar.

Topics to be discussed are the three components of the ECP such as the prevention, compensation and rehabilitation services and the recent EC Program reforms anchored on the “3Es”- Equalize, Enhance and Expand strategies, in response to the challenges facing the EC Program.
