The Employees’ Compensation Commission will hold a free advocacy seminar  on April 29, 2015 at the  San Antonio Resort, which aim to ensure   that workers are informed of their rights, benefits  and privileges under the Employees’ Compensation Program.

With the close coordination of the Department of Labor and Employment-Region 6 and the ECC-REU6, 120 or more human resource officers, employers, labor union representatives, coming from different private establishments, government agencies including uniformed personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Navy and Bureau of Fire Protection coming from  nearby areas in Roxas City are expected to attend.

Prevention, compensation and rehabilitation services are the three components of the ECP to be discussed on the seminar. These components play a major role  to effectively and efficiently deliver to workers a comprehensive package of services and benefits for work connected contingencies.

Prior to the advocacy seminar, a press conference will be arranged in coordination with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 6.  The presscon is set on April 28, 2015 at the same venue to covey the ECP to the media practitioners  of  Roxas  City.

Furthermore, a consultation meeting with the Social Security System and Government Service Insurance System representatives will take place right after the advocacy seminar in order to clarify some policies and procedures on the ECP claims.

The Employees’ Compensation Commission is an attached agency of  the Department of Labor and Employment mandated by law to provide meaningful and appropriate compensation to workers in the event of work-related contingencies.
