In line with the Employees’ Compensation Commission’s (ECC) mission of championing the welfare of Filipino workers, the ECC Regional Extension Unit 12 (ECC-REU 12), together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Sultan Kudarat Field Office, conducted a half-day seminar on Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP) to 38 school administrative officers and principals from 21 public and private schools in Tacurong City last 22 January 2016. The event was hosted by the Notre Dame of Lambayong Inc.
“The seminar is one of ECC’s means to ensure that the workers are informed of their rights, benefits and privileges under the ECP,” ECC Executive Director Stella Zipagan-Banawis said.
The topics discussed during the seminar are the prevention, compensation and rehabilitation components of the Employees’ Compensation Program. The seminar participants were also informed of the ECC’s partnership with St. Louis Hospital in Tacurong City. The said partnership will extend free rehabilitation services to persons with work-related disabilities (PWRDs) who were also enrolled under the ECC’s KaGabay Program.
