The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC), an attached agency of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), together with DOLE Region 4-A, will conduct an Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP) and DOLE Livelihood and Skills Seminar at the Queen Margarette Hotel in Lucena City. This is in line with the ECC’s objective to intensify awareness on the ECP in the regions, and a good venue to present various programs of the DOLE.

This is the first ever EC advocacy program in Region 4-A.

The advocacy seminar is pursuant to Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz’s directive to strengthen linkages between the DOLE attached agencies and regional offices, for an efficient and convenient implementation of the DOLE programs and projects. It is also a mode of information dissemination to keep the public abreast on the social protection and safe work programs, specifically the Employees’ Compensation Program.

The ECC Team will be discussing the three main components of the EC Program; Prevention, Compensation, and Rehabilitation services. In addition to these, a portion of the seminar will be allotted to the various livelihood and skills programs implemented by DOLE.

More than a hundred HR officers, union representatives and employers from various companies in Region 4-A and nearby provinces are expected to attend this event.

The seminar is free of charge to participants.
