Iloilo City – The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) OIC-Executive Director Jose Maria S. Batino personally campaigned for the awareness of the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP) in Iloilo City during his interview with two prominent radio stations on July 5, 2023.
The interview with Aksyon Radyo Iloilo manned by Aksyon Khenjo Terco and Radyo Mindanao Network Iloilo manned by Radyoman Don Dolido mainly focused on the ECC’s visit to Iloilo and the effective execution of the Regional Advocacy Seminar on the Employees Compensation Program, which served as a forum to increase public understanding of the program.
During the interview, Director Batino shed light on the importance of the EC Program in providing financial protection and support to workers in case of work-related sickness, injury, or death. He emphasized the role of the ECC in ensuring that employees receive the compensation they are entitled to and discussed the various benefits and services offered by the program.
Furthermore, Director Batino emphasized the goal of the Regional Advocacy Seminar, which was to inform local government officials and Punong Barangay’s, as well as students and faculty from regional technological and vocational institutions. He stressed the ECC’s dedication to encourage a culture of safety at work and making sure that employees are informed of their rights and benefits under the EC Program.
“We are committed to ensuring that employees in Iloilo City and the surrounding areas are aware of their rights and benefits under the program. Through these radio interviews, we aim to reach a wider audience and foster a greater understanding of the EC Program. We thank RMN Iloilo and Aksyon Radyo Iloilo for their support,†said Director Batino.
An interactive conversation between the public and ECC was made possible via radio interviews which were made live online.
The ECC is a government agency mandated to implement and administer the Employees Compensation Program, which provides benefits to workers in the private and public sectors who suffer work-related sickness, injury, or death.
