The Employees’ Compensation Commission will be at Dipolog City on July 8-10, 2014 to conduct an advocacy seminar for free at Ariana Hotel in Airport Road, Dipolog City.
ECC is inviting about 200 HR officers, union representatives and employers from different industries, representatives of various government agencies including uniformed personnel from Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology to attend the free admission seminar.
The advocacy seminar is scheduled on July10, Thursday and registration will start at 8:00am.
ECC will discuss the importance of accident prevention and safety in the workplace, compensation benefits and rehabilitation services for workers who met work-related injuries or sickness.
The advocacy seminar will be headed by the ECC OIC-Deputy Executive Director Atty. Jonathan Villasotoand will be joined by Information and Public Assistance Division Chief Ma. Cecilia Maulion, Work Contingency Prevention and Rehabilitation Division Chief Dr.Melba Sacro, and Information Officer IV AliciaBorres as resource speakers.
On July 9, ECC will have a consultation meeting with its administering agencies, the Social Security System and the Government Service Insurance System, to discuss effective implementation of the Employees’ Compensation Program and the issues of workers concerning the processing of EC claims.
Department of Labor and Employment Field Office officials inDipolog City will join ECC to discuss DOLE programs and services.
