The Employees’ Compensation Commission, in close coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment Region 3, will hold an Employees’ Compensation Program Advocacy Seminar for the first time in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, at the Harvest Hotel on September 17, 2015, to promote the three components of the EC Program namely – the preventive, compensation and rehabilitation services including the ECC-Quick Response and the Katulong at Gabay sa Manggagawang may Kapansanan or KaGabay Program.
The one-day, free of charge seminar, will be participated by more than 120 human resource officers, employers/owners and labor union representatives coming from various private enterprises and government agencies from nearby areas in Cabanatuan City.
In addition, the uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force and their civilian personnel are also invited to attend this activity.
The ECC’s massive info campaign was conceptualized to answer to the low level of awareness of the workers on the Employees’ Compensation Program. This is done through the conduct of seminars at work-places and through advocacy seminars which are being conducted throughout the country on a regular basis.

There will also be a consultation meeting with the Social Security System and Government Service Insurance System to update officers on new policies and procedures on the Employees’ Compensation Program in order to facilitate processing of EC claims.
The Employees’ Compensation Program is designed to provide workers and their dependents with income benefits, medical, and other benefits in the event of work-related sickness, injury or death.
