The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) Regional Extension Unit 3 has renewed its partnership with the Jose B Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital; Holy Trinity General Hospital; Sacred Heart Hospital; and Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medical Center to improve the ECC’s rehabilitation services to persons with work-related disabilities (PWRDs) under its Katulong at Gabay sa Manggagawang may Kapansanan (KaGabay) Program. The renewal of the tie-up was done through a memorandum of agreement between the ECC and the said hospitals.

The partnership intends to help improve to the fullest the health of persons who suffer from work-related accidents and diseases, especially those needing rehabilitation services such as physical, speech, and occupational therapy. Other medical interventions like the provision of rehabilitation equipment to PWRDs referred by ECC are also covered under the MOA.

“We will continue to foster partnership with different institutions nationwide to ensure effective and timely delivery of services to our clients.” said ECC Executive Director                    Stella Zipagan-Banawis after she received a report of the MOA renewal.

ECC services are provided 100 percent free to PWRDS who have an approved EC claim.

The four Pampanga hospitals are partners of the ECC for 3 straight years now and have served more than 50 PWRDs to date.
