The Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC), in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Region 5, will conduct an Employees’ Compensation Program Advocacy Seminar at Macagang Business Center Hotel & Resorts, Nabua, Camarines Sur on April 27, 2017, to ramp-up public awareness on the EC Program and its benefits and services.
The one day, free of charge seminar, is on the first-come-first-served basis. It aims to ensure that workers are informed of their rights, benefits and privileges under the EC Program.
More than 120 participants composed mostly of employers, human resource officers and union representatives, of various enterprises and government agencies including members of Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Navy, Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology from nearby areas in the Camarines Sur are expected to attend the said seminar.
The topic to be discussed will be the three major components of the EC Program namely – the prevention, compensation and the rehabilitation services and the recent EC Program reforms. These reforms are anchored on the “3Es” – Equalize, Enhance and Expand EC benefits to improve the EC Program.
On April 26, 2017 at 9:00am, a press conference will be held at the Embarcadero de Legazpi Hotel, Legaspi City, where thirty (30) media practitioners including social media bloggers are expected to attend, to set the tone for the next day’s advocacy seminar.
