The Employees’ Compensation Commission, in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment – Negros Island Region, will conduct a one-day, free of charge, seminar on the Employees’ Compensation Program on August 25, 2016 at the L’Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City.
The activity will be participated by about 120 human resource officers, union representatives, employers and workers from various private establishments and government agencies including uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and their civilian personnel in Bacolod City and nearby provinces.
The seminar aims to increase awareness on the three major components of the EC Program namely – prevention, compensation and rehabilitation. It will also discuss the recent program reforms of ECC anchored on the “3Es”- Equalize, Enhance and Expand strategy in response to the challenges facing the Program.
A press conference in coordination with the Philippine Information Agency – Bacolod City shall be conducted at the same venue to promote the ECP thru quad-media on August 24, 2016.
There will also be a consultation meeting with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and Social Security System (SSS) representatives to update officers on the recent EC Program policies and resolutions in order to facilitate processing of EC claims.
