The Employees’ Compensation Commission Regional Extension Unit 11 oriented more than 200 teaching employees of the Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School on the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP) during the Parangal sa mga Guro 2018 at the Sanitary Function Hall, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley on June 1, 2018.

ECC Regional Information Officer Albert Bantan explained the importance of understanding the ECP and discussed the compensation and rehabilitation services of the EC Program.

Bantan also highlighted the recent program reforms of the ECC anchored on the “3Es”- Equalize, Enhance and Expand strategy in response to the challenges facing the EC Program.

Dr. Editha T. Jao, NNCHS Principal stressed the significance of the discussion on EC Programs by saying that it gives her faculty who suffered from work-connected illness and injuries the chance to still avail their EC benefits. She pointed out that only GSIS programs had reached their awareness.

“ECP orientation must be organized for all public school teachers in Compostela Valley Province as it is important to make them aware of its existence especially that teachers are also prone to different work-related contingencies,” said CSC Provincial Director Vicente Luna.
