Board Resolution No. 22-08-19
Approving the Guidebook on the Coverage of Land-Based Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) Under the Employees’ Compensation Program as the Implementing Guidelines of Board Resolution No.19-11-42 (Promulgating the Policy on Expanding the Coverage of the Employees’ Compensation Program (ECP) to Land-Based Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) Who are Registered Members of SSS)
WHEREAS, on 19 November 2019, the ECC Board of Commissioners approved Board Resolution No. 19-11-42 s. 2019 on Promulgating the Policy on Expanding the Coverage of the Employees Compensation Program (ECP) to Land-Based Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are Registered Members of the SSS;
WHEREAS, the ECC Secretariat has coordinated with the SSS on the preparation of the Guidebook as the implementing rules and regulations of said Board Resolution;
WHEREAS, the Commission finds the Guidebook adequate and in order;
NOW THEREFORE, ON MOTION DULY MADE AND SECONDED
This Commission RESOLVES as it hereby RESOLVED, to approve the Guidebook on the Coverage of Land-based Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) as the guidelines in the implementation of Board Resolution No. 19-11-42 s. 2019 on expanding the coverage of ECP to land-based OFWs:
RESOLVED FURTHER, that all previous Rules and Regulations which are inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby repealed or modified accordingly;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the SSS shall issue a Circular indicating the effective date of coverage of LB-OFWS under the EC Program based on the readiness of the SSS IT program for the same, providing for the revised contribution schedule for LB-OFWs to include the EC contribution, and stipulating the implementation of the policies in the aforementioned Guidebook.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution be duly furnished to the SSS for guidance.
